Studying essentials

Since I have to study a lot in autumn, here are my two essentials I can't live without.

First of all I always carry a hand cream with me. I love to ceep my hands hydrated and soft. During long hours of sitting over my books I like to feel good and fresh.
My favourite hand creams are from L'Occitane and this one is in the scent 'Cherry Princess'.

Second I need a lip balm or a very mouisturizing lip gloss. This time I went for one from Maria Galland in the flavour strawberry.

And during studying I also need vitamins, coffee and sometimes a chai latte....

Marilyn Monroe MAC collection

Recently I purchased some items from the new Marilyn Monroe collection by MAC.

They brought out some great lipsticks, which I fell in love with and I also got an eyeshadow.

The packaging is just lovely and they really went for nice details, such as in the inside, just when you open the box....

I got the eyeshadow in the colour 'Silver Screen'. This colour is very pigmented and I think I am going to pair it with liquid eyeliner.

These are both lipsticks: The left one is in the colour 'Pure Zen' and the right one is called 'Scarlett Ibis'.
They are very different colours, but I think I'll get a very good use out of both.

mhmmm....salad...

For summer I love to make salads mixed with almost everything. I like to have them with tomatos, cucumbers, eggs, bacon.....

First I prepare all the ingredients, such as slicing tomatos or cooking the eggs.

Then I make the dressing and mix everything together.

And that's it!!

You get a delicious salad :)

I <3 hamburger

Sometimes I really enjoy cooking with my boyfriend.
Most of time it's really fun and lots of the yummy things are actually really, really easy.

Recently we had some home made burgers and potatoe wedges. Most of the time I rather eat more healthy food, but sometimes I can resist...

You need:

  • meat
  • burger buns
  • salad
  • tomatoes
  • cocktail sauce
  • ketchup
  • onions

We also had some potato wedges to go with the burgers.

First my boyfriend roasted the meat and also spiced it a bit.

I made the salad and sliced the tomatoes and the onions.

After that we sat to the table and each of us could create his own burger :)

 And then finally...my result!!!

It was just delicious :)

New In

Recently I got a new Chanel nailpolish. I couldn`t decide, which colour would be nice for summer and also looked for some pastel colours.

But as I saw this one, I couldn`t resist. It was just to gorgeous. It looks just amazing, just like black pearls from the South Seas.
I can`t wait to try it out and I think, that this colour is also very wearable for other seasons, but will look stunning after beeing tanned. It´s gonna be great for warm summer nights, when going out and I think that I`ll really enjoy this one.

topcoat? basecoat? or both?

From left to right:

Essie-rock solid
Chanel-top coat velvet
Essie-no chips ahead

I normally use a basecoat, as well as a topcoat.

Since my nails are a little bit weak and like to chip very often, I always use a basecoat, which hardens my nails and makes them stronger. Currently I`m using the one from Essie and I`m quite happy with it. It really hardens your nails and mine aren`t as soft anymore, as they have been.

For a topcoat I currently switch between the Chanel mat topcoat and the one from Essie.
It always depends, how I want the colour to look: very shiny or mat.

In my view, the Essie nailpolishes have really great quality for their price. They give a nice finish and they have some amazing colours. Further, they`re very longlasting, which I like, because I don`t want to do my nails every day.

The Chanel ones also have really unique colours and I have sticked to this brand for very long.
The only con is, that they are more of a one day nailpolish,  because they chip much  faster.
But I`m really into some of their signature colours (Rouge noir for example) and decided to overlook the fact, that they chip that fast.

My favourite summer nailpolishes part 2

 from left to right:

Essie-Demure Vix
Essie-Lapiz of Luxury
Essie-Tuquoise and Caicos
Essie-Mint Apple Candy

Well now here`s part 2 of my favourite summer nailpolishes.

These are almost only blue tones, which always remember me of the blue ocean, sand bays, enjoying great time and sipping cocktails somewhere at the seaside.

The left one is the only not blue toned colour. Put on, it`s a very interesting colour: It`s sort of nude with a very, very light lilac shimmer and perfect, if you want some colour, but not too much.

Now I`m wearing Lapiz of Luxury on my toes and it`s a very nice colour to pair it with white summer dresses or shorts and a simple shirt. I also like to pair this colour with my gold strappy sandals.

My favourite summer nailpolishes part 1

Chanel-Canicule #59
OPI-Colour so hot it berns
Essie-Fifth Avenue
Essie-Brazillant
Essie-Cute as a button
Alessandro-Peachy Cinderella
Chanel-Muse # 119

Well here are my favourite summer nailpolishes. For this season of the year I really love nice peachy, coral and bright red colours.
Sometimes i also go for a more nude-pink colour, such as the Chanel one on the right.

The thirst three colours are more red, going from a rather dark very vamp like colour to a really coral and light one.

Then the other three nailpolishes are peachy coraly toned, which also looks great, when you`re tanned.

And finally the last one is a more nude, milky pink with small shimmer paricles in it. I like to go for it, if I need something more neutral.

For summer I just love such bright colours! They make me really happy and are just perfect for this season!

My favourite summer blushes

MAC:Melba/Chanel:Blush d`Horizon/Nars:Orgasm/Dior:Rosy Glow
As I love summer,I decided to do a summer favourites series. I´m gonna start with my favourite blushes.

For summer I love more peachy and rather light pink tones, as for winter and autumn I prefer more nudes and reds.

MAC-Melba

I really love this colour, not only for summer, but also during spring it`s one of my must-haves. It`s a nice peachy colour with a subtle pink undertone and it is perfect for every day wear. It gives your face a very natural look.

Chanel-Blush d`Horizon
This is one from Chanel`s limited spring edition. It`s also a nice peach tone, which is very buildable, especially with the pink and white stripes in it you can go pretty much from a more lighter version to a even much more darker one.

Nars-Orgasm
This one actually is my favourite blush for summer. The colour is amazing. It`s a peach colour with rather small gold particles in it. Further it gives your face a really nice and healthy glow, which I love.

Dior-Rosy Glow
Now that blush is the only pink one in my summer favourites. In the pan it almost looks like a bubble gum pink, but put on, it has a nice and subtle pink and also is very buildable. You can go from a hint of colour to a really bright pink.

Summed up, I have finally found my favourite blushes for summer, which are mostly peachy toned, but they also look amazing when you`re already tanned.

Now I own my very own NAKED 2 palette.

Here are the nice, mostly neutral colours. I love the nice golden, more bronzy and shimmery colours.

My first products from NARS

Some time ago a friend of mine went to the US and brought me some make up stuff. Here I'm gonna show you my first two products I've ever owned from NARS.

I got two make up items: First a blush in the colour 'Douceur' and also a second blush in the colour 'Orgasm'.
Both are very common colours and I've already heard a lot on blogs from American bloggers or saw them on Youtube.

Douceur is a nice and neutral light brown colour. I can imagine this colour with a nude lipstick and a rather neutral look.

Orgasm is a rather peachy, little more bright colour and also really nice for spring and summer. It also includes small, very nice gold shimmer particals.

Now I can't wait to try them out on my own!!!

Lollipop,lollipop,lollipop....

A few days ago I found this amazing lipstick, or they actually call it popstick from Maybelline, which actually fits the product even better.

It's something inbetween like a tinted lip balm and a sheer lipstick. The texture is really nice, smooth and also a bit glossy. It moisturizes your lips very well and the lipstick almost looks like it is made out of jelly. It's see through and the colour looks really neon and crazy when you first see it in the packaging.

I got mine in the colour 'Tropical Pink' (# 020), which first looks really shocking, but put on your lips it develops into a nice and very shimmery pink. It hydrates your lips very well and also makes them look a little bit fuller.

It's perfect for summer and spring, when the temperatures are high and you don't want to wear a really heavy and bright lipstick.

Beauty Haul

Since I passed a big exam on Friday, I finally had time to do some shopping and I had time for all other things...

On Thursday there was woman's day, where a lot of shops had 20% off and I actually only bought some fashion items (Haul is going to fallow later...)

But as I went to Westbahnhof on Friday, where now is a big shopping mall, I decided to go to Müller (there was still 20% off)and grab some things I wanted to have for some time.

First I bought the Elizabeth Arden perfum called Green Tea. It's a nice, fresh and very summary scent. I really wanted to have something more light for summer, instead of all the heavy perfums I love during winter.
I got the gift box, which also contained a body lotion, because they didn't have the 50ml size alone.

Then I bought the Clarins lip perfector in the colour #1, which is a nice pink shade. They also had one in coral and one in nude, but I prefered the pink one, since I'm very into pink now in spring. The lip perfector is ment to soften and nourish your lips, but it also has a little bit of a glossy formula. I have already seen it on many other blogs, only heard good things and now I am excited to finally try it out myself.

Last, but not least I bought a palette from Artdeco for eyeshadows and also 4 eyeshadows to already put something in :)
I actually bought it, because my last Glossybox contained a single eyeshadow (#19) and I have heard many things about these great colours and their very buttery and nice texture. As I swatched them, they felt very nice. I got 3 very bronze like colours and one light brown rather matt colour. I'm gonna trie them out soon and I'm happy, that I finally have got a palette, which I can take with me, when I travel.
The palette I got fits 12 different eyeshadows,or you also can fill it up with a blush and eyeshadows. The palette and the eyeshadows are both magnetic and that way you can easily put them in and out. They also have a huge range of colours and I'm excited to fill the whole palette up soon :)

colours from left to right: #13/#18/#30/#520
and the one from the Glossybox: #19

NOTD # 1: Essie Mint Candy Apple

Finally the Essie nailpolishes are avaliable in Austria. Two days ago I found them at Bipa. They were ment to be sold a little bit later, I think around the end of April and beginning of May.

But they already have them at some stores and this made me really happy, since I have been waiting for them to come out since winter.

All the colours were amazing and very wearable especially for spring and summer. They had lots of pastell colours, but also many really fun colours like bright pinks, blues and reds.

I got one in the colour Mint Candy Apple (#99), which is a nice mint colour and almost looks like the Nouvelle Vague nailpolish Chanel brought out some time ago.

I used two coats to put it on, since the colour comes out the best this way and looks really bright and nice. It's a gorgeous pastell spring colour, which makes me really happy and I'm gonna get my hands on more beautiful colours soon :)

OOTD # 1

Since the weather is rainy again, I decided to wear my favourite trench coat and my hunter boots again...
I hope, that the weather gets better soon and I can wear more spring outfits instead of umbrella, trench and rain boots...

It's raining man or FOTD # 3: Hunter boots

The weather is totally awful in Vienna today, it's rainy and also a bit cold outside.
I decided to snuggle up most of the day at home, but later in the afternoon I have to leave my house.

And when I go outside later on, I'm gonna wear my black hunter boots. They are just the only thing, that you can wear (on your feet, when it's raining and the weather is just this way.

I really like them, because they go almost up to your knee and black fits with every other colour. Furthermore they are really tailored, not as many other rubber boots, which just look a bit strange and very well fit.
Well, I surely won't get wet on my feet today :)

weekend in pictures...

Last weekend I went to Innsbruck, a wonderful city in the West of Austria. On the Alpes there still was some snow, but the weather was amazing!! The sun was shining and everyone was outside eating ice cream or having some coffee. It was just great!!
I did a little bit sight seeing and also some shopping. I finally got MAC's limited lipstick from the Ricky-Nicki collection ;) and two jumpers in candy colours.
I also visited the famous Swaraovski store, where the have these amazing  crystals...
